[September 24, 2018]    The Lincoln College Cross Country teams continued to show improvement at the 37th Annual Brissman-Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana College over the weekend. Unfortunately for the Lynx, due to injuries they were not able to field full teams, so their results did not count towards a team score.

The Lady Lynx were once again lead by April Goetz (Auburn). Her 6K time of 24:51 placed her 85th overall. Caurianna Johnson (Mackinaw) was 196th, Deanna Anglin (Chicago) finished 239th and Payton Marr (Clinton) came in 298th.

On the men’s side, Rantoul native Ed Lopez was the top finisher for the Lynx. Lopez’s 8k time of 30:40 placed him 249th overall. Christian Raymond (Cahokia) was 260th, Zach Akers (Du Paige) was 266th and Blake Quandt (Salem) placed 287th.

“We are trying to get a few athletes healthy so they can come back as close to a hundred percent as possible next week,” said LC Coach Brian Herron. “I am very happy with the improvements I am seeing from week to week. As a whole we had significant drops in times. They were also much more focused on their racing this week. All in all it was a good meet that should help us as we head to the Midwest Intercollegiate Championships this week.”
