Atlanta Ag 4-H kicked off their first meeting of the year riding a hayrack! It was a beautiful fall Sunday, perfect for taking a hayrack to the Sugar Shack at Sugar Creek Farms in Atlanta.

The group visited the airplane hanger of Alex Ulrich. His Cessna airplane was parked on the driveway of his plane hangar. The members were treated to a look inside and even were permitted to sit in the pilot's seat.

Hoping to intrigue the youth in the area of Aerospace, the Ulrich’s invited two fellow pilots to talk about their area of expertise, Jack Holland, manager of Holland Field Airport and Larry Whitbeck runs the Flying Club in Lincoln.

The Cloverbuds had fun making paper airplanes with Cavit and Cindy Schempp and experiencing wind speed and direction while we practiced flying them.

Katie Ulrich provided lemonade and snacks for everyone.
