[April 01, 2019]
April 7th through the 13th is the 29th Anniversary of Community
Banking Week in Illinois. This year’s theme is “Sharing Your
Dreams”. Community banks like us are inviting our friends, our
neighbors, to help us celebrate the independent spirit that is the
hallmark of locally run banks.
During Community Banking Week, The Farmers Bank of Mt Pulaski will
be hosting numerous events. There will be giveaways, refreshments,
and activities for everyone’s participation. The lobby will be
decorated with entries to our coloring contest, stop in and vote for
your favorite. Coloring entries (for ages Preschool to fourth grade)
are available at the main bank and must be returned by March 29th.
Some other activities planned for throughout the week include a
guess how many jelly beans are in the jar, refreshments, and a food
drive for the Mt Pulaski Community Children’s Summer Food Program.
Anyone who brings in a food donation or monetary donation for the
food drive will be entered into a drawing for a prize basket.

your heart” at our Central Illinois Community Blood Center Blood Drive. Everyone
who gives blood (or attempts to give blood) will be entered into a drawing for a
prize basket.
Join us on Friday, April 12th for our final event, a Community Appreciation
Cookout from 4 pm until 6 pm for FREE pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, chips,
cookie, and drink.
Winners for the coloring contest, how many contest, food donation drawing and
blood drive drawing will be announced on Monday, April 15th.
Mark your calendar for the week of April 7nd and stop by the bank to help us
celebrate our great community. Thanks to everyone who has helped to make us a
vital part of this community’s growth and prosperity. You’ve given us reason to
celebrate Illinois Community Banking Week.
