AAC and Autism: An Introduction to LAMP

This training will offer an introduction to the Language Acquisition
through Motor Planning (LAMP) therapy approach. The goal of the LAMP
approach is to give individuals who are nonverbal or have limited
verbal abilities a method of independently and spontaneously
expressing themselves through the use of voice output augmentative
alternative communication (AAC). Participants will learn briefly
about the key elements of the approach and how these elements
influence the design of an AAC language system. Demonstration and
video examples will be used throughout the class. This training is
appropriate for SLPs, OTs, ATPs, educators, family members, and
others who are interested in learning more about the LAMP approach.

Make It Take It Sensory Bottles: How these can be used at home for calming
and other engaging activities

Parents spend more time with their children than all of their teachers and
therapist combined. Come learn some new ways to help your child while
simultaneously having fun and connecting with other parents. This is an
interactive, make it take it event. While the attendees are making their calming
bottles, strategies to calm and engage your child in interactive play will be
