Chances R Bar and Grill to host Grand Opening this Saturday

There is another new business in Lincoln. Chances R Bar and Grill is now open at 421 North Chicago and will host a Grand Opening event on Saturday, April 6th. The business has actually been open for a while, and now, after smoothing out all the wrinkles, owner Butch Demling and his daughter Mandy Demling are ready to welcome the community in to see the new place, enjoy some great food, and on Saturday night listen to some stellar music when Ryman’s Way https://www. facebook.com/rymansway/  comes to town.

Some may recognize the address as popular location that has operated under a variety of business names over the years. When the last owners closed the bar and grill, Butch Demling decided it was time to take the leap and buy a business that is one that he has wanted to own for quite some time.

Demling is a local farmer, but in his dreams, he has always wanted to own a small bar and grill. He wanted it to be a place that was fun and friendly with good atmosphere, and good food. Demling’s daughter Mandy has more than 30 years of experience in this type of business, so she was a natural to take on the management of the business.

The bar and grill is definitely a family affair, as the daily meal specials will be prepared under the supervision of the Demling “mom.” DeAnn will be working her magic in the kitchen preparing the made-from-scratch daily specials that all will be able to enjoy during the daily lunch hours. In addition, Mandy‘s sister is getting in the action as the master of homemade desserts. Look for all three of these ladies to be offering up great food, tasty desserts and excellent service.

Chances R actually opened on January 4th of this year after a remodel and facelift. Mandy said that she and her dad were very pleased with the work done by Illinois Valley Construction and feel the company gave the interior of the bar a fresh new look that customers will appreciate.

In addition to good food and favorite brews, guests can have some good fun as well. The bar will feature two pool tables and the traditional dart boards that are popular in many pubs. Electronic gaming will also be offered. Demling said that she is also hopeful that there will be a couple of pool leagues formed in the future to make sure that those pool tables are well utilized.

Mandy noted that the family is optimistic about the future of the bar and grill. She said that they have enjoyed good business since opening in January and have a number of repeat customers. She added that the family is ready to tackle this business with the zest of a farm family, “We have good food, we are friendly and we are farm people who work hard.”

This Saturday evening as part of their Grand Opening celebration the Chances R will host live entertainment. Be sure to drop in between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. and enjoy music by Rymans Way.

The grill opens seven days a week at 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday the doors close at midnight. On Friday and Saturday the closing time is 1 a.m., and on Sunday the business closes at 10 p.m.

The public is invited to come out any day of the week, to enjoy a great meal. On Saturday, be sure to stop in and enjoy the live entertainment and congratulate the Demling family on their new venture.
