Celebration of Life: March 31, 2019 from 1 to 4 pm at the Oasis Senior Center in Lincoln.

Doris Jean Craig Naugle Bateson, 77, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Lincoln, went home Friday, March 8 2019. A celebration of life is scheduled for March 31, 2019 from 1 to 4 pm at the Oasis Senior Center in Lincoln.

Doris was born March 28, 1941 in Grayson County Kentucky to Walter Muriel Craig and Verbal Dee (Bishop) Craig.

Doris was employed at the bottle factory in Lincoln for 31 years before retiring in 1997. At which point she sold and gave away her possessions, jumped in a camper and left for Florida, settling in the Clearwater area after traveling a short period of time. She then managed the Bay Aire RV park and was an active member and deacon at Crystal Beach Community Church.

She is survived by four daughters Carole (Michael) Hoss and Cherie Merritt of Clearwater FL, Christie (Richard) Huskins of Lincoln, and Candie (Ed) McCloud of Normal; seven grandchildren Jennifer Gillum, Stephanie Turner, Jeremy Gillum, Melonie Merritt, Kayla (Austen)  Sturch, Courtney McCloud and Conner McCloud; and eight great grandchildren, Bayleigh, Bricen and Kylan Gillum, Alexis, Ethan and Elliana Turner, Matthew Merritt, and Karter Sturch; And one brother Raymond Craig. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Walter “Butch” Craig.

Memorials may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
