SPRINGFIELD
The April meeting of the breast cancer support group at Memorial
Medical Center will feature a guest speaker with Susan G. Komen, a
breast cancer organization that supports education, research,
advocacy and health services.

 The guest speaker is Doris Garrett, service area relationship
specialist with Komen. She’ll discuss Komen’s More Than Pink Walk on
June 8 at the Illinois State Capitol. Memorial Medical Center is the
major sponsor for the event.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in the Clarke
Conference Room (E-118) in Memorial Medical Center, 701 N. First
St., Springfield.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month except for December. For
