Charleston sweeps Lincoln in doubleheader

Charleston hosted Lincoln on the baseball diamond Saturday and it was the Trojans sweeping the Railsplitters by scores of 7-0 and 6-2.

In the first game the Railsplitters were blanked 7-0 by the Trojans. Dreyden Pozsgai suffered the loss for Lincoln. He allowed four runs on seven hits over four innings of work. Pozsgai struck out four batters and walked one.

Brenden Eigenbrod led Lincoln at the plate with a 3-for-3 performance. 

In game two the Railsplitters kept it close until the sixth inning, when the Trojans pulled away for the 6-2 victory.

Justin Long took the loss for Lincoln. He lasted two innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out four batters. 

Colton Holliday started the game for Lincoln. He tossed four innings, giving up two runs on five hits. Holliday struck out two and walked one. 

Nate Arnold was 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Lincoln's offense. Dreyden Pozsgai hit a home run for Lincoln in the fifth inning.
