Railsplitters blank Bloomington 5-0 on a combined one-hit shutout by Bogdanic and Arnold

Alex Bogdanic and Nate Arnold  combined to shutout Bloomington 5-0 Tuesday night as the Railsplitters were on the road facing the Purple Raiders. 

Lincoln took a 1-0 lead in the fourth  inning on an RBI double by Brenden Eigenbrod that scored Colton Holliday. In the seventh inning the Railsplitters scored four runs as Nate Arnold, Colton Holliday and Noah Funk were each credited with RBIs. Dreyden Pozsgai led off the seventh inning with a double. He scored on Funk's RBI single. Arnold's double to right in the inning scored two Railsplitters - Justin Horchem and Funk. Holliday followed that up with an RBI single to centerfield to bring home Arnold. The 5-0 lead was more  than  enough for the Railsplitters pitching on the afternoon.

Bogdanic earned the win. He threw four innings, allowing just one hit and striking out six batters. Arnold pitched three innings in relief and earned the save. Arnold struck out seven Purple Raiders. 

Arnold was 2-for-4 at the plate for Lincoln with two RBIs and a run scored. 

Nick Sharp suffered the loss for Bloomington.
