Galesburg gets the walk-off win over Lincoln by a final of 6-5 in 9 innings 

[April 15, 2019]    The Railsplitters lost a tough one at Galesburg Monday afternoon. With the score tied 5-5 in the bottom of  the ninth inning the Silver Streaks won on a two-out walk-off single by Andrew Thomas. 

Lincoln was quick to get a 4-0 lead over Galesburg in the first inning. Noah Funk led off the game with a single. He advanced to second base on a sacrifice by Drew Singleton. Nate Arnold followed up with an RBI single to score Funk. After Colton Holliday reached on an error, Brenden Eigenbrod's RBI single scored Arnold. A single by Alex Bogdanic brought Holliday home to score the third run of the game. Back-to-back walks to Dylan Singleton and Dreyden Pozsgai allowed courtesy runner Jayden Pollice to come trotting home with a run, giving Lincoln a 4-0 advantage early. 

Lincoln took a 5-0 lead in the  fourth  inning when a fielder's choice by Holliday scored Funk. 

Galesburg put up runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings that tied the score and eventually sent the game into extra innings. A base hit by Andrew Thomas to left field in the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs scored Tyler Steck with the winning run for the Silver Streaks. Galesburg wins by a final of 6-5.

Cameron Glick suffered the loss for Lincoln. He pitched three and one-third innings, allowing a run on four hits. Glick struck out four batters.

Dreyden Pozsgai started the game for Lincoln. He pitched five innings, giving up four runs on six hits. Pozsgai struck out seven batters and walked one.

Justin Long pitched middle relief for Lincoln and gave up a run. 

Colton Holliday led the Railsplitters at the plate with a 2-for-4 performance and a run scored and an RBI.
