[April 17, 2019]
Jim and Leslie Wilmert from St. John United
Church of Christ Outreach Ministry delivered a box of supplies to
Central Elementary School of District 27, Lincoln for the teachers
to have access to for their students needs.

The supplies were accepted for the teachers by Kelly
Bogdanic, principal of the school.
The Outreach Ministry has added Central Elementary to its support of
teachers who have for years funded the needs of students who have
difficulty in acquiring the supplies they are required for their
classes.
St. John UCC has supported Lincoln Junior High School teachers for
several years. In both instances the teachers supply a list of the
most needed articles and members of the ministry go shopping and
deliver to their storage closet.

Funds for most of the shopping is acquired through SJUCC
fundraisers several times a year at Culver’s Restaurant the 3rd Sunday of their
chosen month.
Other projects the ministry is involved with include the Narcan
and Safe Passages Initiative of the LPD and sippy cups and utensils for the
Logan County Health Department. Funds for the latter have been received and
items are ordered for delivery in the near future.
