The poster for this month’s exhibit
crafted by Laura Elliott. Each month’s art theme has a new poster
created by one of Logan County Arts members. While this one focuses
on the green theme, it also involves Laura’s love of nature. |

“Cool Waters” with artist Leland
Hahn. It is a painting of his granddaughter enjoying a dip in a
Wisconsin lake surrounded by nature’s bounty. |

“Renewal” with artist Sheralyn
Bolton. |

“A Tale of the Forests” by Pam Moriearty. Her experience as a Master
Naturalist may have formed this construction. The three dimensional
form and straight lines of the wood blocks versus the scattered
nature of the background caught artist Cheryl Spove’s eye. “I really
like the composition of Pam’s work,” she said. |

“When It Rains, It Grows” by Grace Stephenson. |

Hannah (L) and Charley (R) took time from their busy schedules at
LCU and dropped by the Lincoln Art Institute Thursday evening. It
was their first visit. They cruised the installation and talked to
the artists. The art they are standing next to is Leland Hahn’s
“Heartland Sunrise.” They had a good time. |

“Nature’s Force” with artist Laura
Elliott. “This piece took me about three years to complete,” she
said. Close inspection reveals its complexity and speaks to her
Expressionistic bent. The theme is one of her continuing interest in
nature. The title is from a Dylan Thomas poem. |
