Heyworth hands  Hilltoppers a 10-1 loss

The Heyworth Hornets hosted Mount Pulaski last Tuesday and handed the Hilltoppers a 10-1 loss.

The Hornets pounded out 12 hits versus Mount Pulaski pitching. The Hilltoppers lone run was on a home run to left field by Logan DeRight in the second inning. DeRight led Mount Pulaski offensively with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate. 

Todd Kelly got the loss for Mount Pulaski. Kelly tossed five innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits. He struck out nine batters and walked one. Grant Davis pitched in relief of Kelly and allowed three runs on three hits.
