Turner, far right, explains to Ameren employees what they will be
doing in Lincoln on Tuesday evening. The group had gathered in the
back parking lot at the Lincoln Police Department and were preparing
to head out to local homes to hand out new lightbulbs for porch
lights. The Brighten the Block initiative is in its fourth year. The
goal is to provide brighter, more energy efficient lightbulbs to
local residents, adding to the overall safety of the neighborhood by
'brightening the block.'

MOTORISTS AND CEFCU CUSTOMERS
Lincoln
Street Department crews will close Pine Street Thursday
morning April 25, 2019 at approximately 7:30 AM at the
intersection of 5th Street adjacent to CEFCU to
repair an old utility Patch near 5th Street. Pine
will be closed from the alley north to 5th St.
CEFCU Customers will need to exit to the right towards 4th
St when leaving the parking lot. The street will reopen once
the repairs are complete.
