Free Stroke Awareness Seminar

Memorial Medical Center will hold a free seminar on stroke awareness
at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in the Memorial Center for Learning and
Innovation, 228 W. Miller St.
Sponsored by Memorial Stroke Services, the one-hour seminar, titled
“Be Stroke Aware: BE FAST,” will cover types of stroke, new stroke
guidelines, opportunities for stroke prevention and support after a
stroke.

Four local physicians will lead the seminar. They are Dr. Hayan Dayoub, a
neurosurgeon with Springfield Clinic; Dr. Louis Graham, a physiatrist with SIU
Medicine; Dr. Sajjad Mueed, a neurologist with SIU Medicine and Dr. Casey Muehle,
a vascular and interventional radiologist with Clinical Radiologists.
The seminar will feature free health screenings and a health fair from 5 to 6
p.m.
Free parking is available in the parking garage south of the MCLI at Rutledge
and Carpenter streets. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
