athletes place in several events at IC Invite

The Lincoln College Men’s and Women’s track teams competed at the
True Blue Open hosted by Illinois College over the weekend. The
men’s team placed 6th and the women’s team was 10th out of 14 teams.
One of the big highlights of the meet for LC was Rodman Teltull’s
time of 10.67 in the 100. He placed first in the 100 and his time
also earned him the number 5 position on Lincoln’s top 5 performance
list in the 100.
Others placing on the men’s side included the 4x100 relay team of
Austin Picton, Sabree Bakari, Rodman Teltull and Josh Turner placed
3rd. The 4x100 team of Eugeen Williba, Deriek Lawless, Desmond
Berdell and Josiah Neal came in 4th and the 4x400 team of Josiah
Neal, Ed Lopez, Abdoulaye Sylla and Deriek Lawless took 3rd in that
event. Sabree Bakari earned second place in the high jump
competition, and Josiah Neal took third in the triple jump.

April Goetz continued her fine season with a second place finish in
the women’s 5K. Other Lynx that placed for the ladies included
Amazing Ashby in the long jump and the 100 (5th in both events), and
the 4x400 relay team of Asia Rance, Brianna Neal, Shay Goble and
Aurora Board took 5th.
The Lynx will be in action again this Saturday at the Fighting Scott
invite hosted by Monmouth College.
