			 [August 05, 2019]
			New leadoff hitter Jason Heyward
had a homer, triple and three RBIs, and Yu Darvish fired five sharp
innings in the Chicago Cubs' 7-2 win over visiting Milwaukee to
complete a three-game sweep of the Brewers on Sunday afternoon.
Heyward also scored twice, homered and tripled in the first two
innings as Chicago raced to a 3-1 lead and never looked back against
Milwaukee starter Adrian Houser (4-5), who allowed nine hits and
			four runs in five innings.

Anthony Rizzo went 4-for-5, Kyle Schwarber socked a solo homer and
David Bote had two hits and an RBI as Chicago produced 14 hits.

Darvish (4-5) yielded five hits and one run, striking out eight and
walking none in his first appearance against Milwaukee this season.

The right-hander's multi-pitch arsenal baffled the Brewers -- who
batted eight lefty hitters -- as he set down 10 straight from the
			second through the fifth innings.

Tyler Chatwood earned his second save by allowing one run over the
final three innings to close out the win.

Brewers rookie Trent Grisham had three hits, including his first
career homer, and Christian Yelich had two hits with a solo homer.
Mike Moustakas and Travis Shaw each singled twice.

Yelich lobbed a 3-2 cutter from Darvish into a stiff breeze and over
the left-field wall for his career-high 37th home run in the top of
			the first inning.

Moved to the leadoff spot in the series by manager Joe Maddon,
Heyward answered immediately with his own solo shot in the bottom
half, lashing the first pitch from Houser to center for his 17th
home run and second leadoff blast of the series.

Heyward put Chicago up 2-1 in the second inning when he ripped his
fourth triple into the right-field corner to drive in Bote with two
outs. Nicholas Castellanos singled Heyward home for a 3-1 lead.
Schwarber hammered a Houser slider in the fifth inning for a 4-1
lead. His 25th home run landed just below the scoreboard down the
			right-field line.

Heyward added an RBI fielder's choice in the sixth to make it 5-1,
and a sacrifice fly by Tony Kemp and RBI single by Bote pushed it to
			7-1 in the seventh.

Grisham homered to center off Chatwood in the eighth.
