ATLANTA (Reuters) - A gunman shot dead three people at a home in Stone Mountain, Georgia, late on Tuesday, and then drove home and killed himself, said police.

The multiple slayings in the unincorporated community in DeKalb County, about 20 miles northeast of Atlanta, appears to be part of a possible domestic dispute, Police Maj. Jerry Lewis told the news media.

Three adults, two women and one man, were found dead in a driveway and in a carport after a shooting was reported about 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Lewis said.

A witness saw the suspected shooter drive away from the home. The witness knew the suspect and police went to the man's home about 2 miles away and found him dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot, Lewis said.

"This is not a random incident, there is no threat to the community," Lewis said.

The identities of the dead were not released, pending notification of next-of-kin. No one else was shot, police said.

All the people knew each other, but their relationships were not disclosed.
