The
multiple slayings in the unincorporated community in DeKalb
County, about 20 miles northeast of Atlanta, appears to be part
of a possible domestic dispute, Police Maj. Jerry Lewis told the
news media.
Three adults, two women and one man, were found dead in a
driveway and in a carport after a shooting was reported about
9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Lewis said.
A witness saw the suspected shooter drive away from the home.
The witness knew the suspect and police went to the man's home
about 2 miles away and found him dead from an apparent
self-inflicted gunshot, Lewis said.
"This is not a random incident, there is no threat to the
community," Lewis said.
The identities of the dead were not released, pending
notification of next-of-kin. No one else was shot, police said.
All the people knew each other, but their relationships were not
disclosed.
