Logan County 4-H Holds Master Showmanship Contest

[August 07, 2019]  Logan County 4-H held the county Master Showmanship Contest Thursday, August 1st. Youth ages 14 years and older who are livestock exhibitors are eligible to compete in the contest which involves demonstrating their showmanship skills in three different species: beef, swine, and sheep.

A winner is selected in each of the three species as well as an overall winner.

The Logan Master Showmanship Coordinator was Lukas Aylesworth who is the 2017 Illinois State Fair Top Master Showman and an alumni member of the Topper 4-H Club. Participants for this year’s contest included Nolan Boyer and Charlotte Toohill. They were judged by Jody Kabat and Lauren Burris.

The overall winner selected for 2019 is Charlotte Toohill, who will move on to compete in the Illinois State Fair Master Showmanship Contest on August 9th.
