Send a link to a friend On Wednesday
afternoon the Logan County Fair Association honored Chris Martin
with an official ribbon cut for the new building Chris Martin has
donated. The structure was used that night for the first time for
			animals entering the scrambles.

			 The building will be
used during the livestock shows, particularly for the cattle. Often,
the same handler will show multiple animals. The building will
provide a shelter from sun or other weather conditions when the
animals are waiting to be taken into the show ring.
As Martin cut the ribbon he was flanked by his parents, Fair Board
President Kevin Kurtz, a number of 4-Hers and friends.

Martin went to the fair board and asked if he could have this built.
He credits his success in his agri-business in part to the learning
he received showing at the fair. He described it as a “pay back.”

Kurtz thanked Martin on behalf of the fair association for his
contribution and example. He said there would be a plaque placed on
the building with Chris’s name and he challenged the younger 4-Hers
to think about doing something like this when they become
			successful.
