Memorial Medical Center Foundation’s 31st annual employee giving
campaign raised $251,951 to improve the lives of patients and
co-workers throughout Memorial Health System.
MASH (Memorial Annually Supports Health) is the foundation’s second
largest annual fundraiser. MASH donations support patient care,
education, employee and patient assistance and clinical research at
Memorial.
A total of 794 employees made a donation during the one-month
campaign. More than $5.7 million has been raised through MASH since
its inception in 1989.
“Together, our employees are impacting the lives of many throughout
Memorial,” said Melissa Hansen Schmadeke, executive director of the
Memorial Medical Center Foundation. “Their generous donations are an
investment in future healthcare and can help enhance the lives of
our patients and employees.”

This year, employees designated $124,052 to specific departments, units,
affiliates and funds, such as the cancer patient assistance fund or SystemCare,
which provides financial support to Memorial employees who experience a personal
emergency.
Approximately $128,000 was left unrestricted for health-related grants to be
awarded by the foundation.
Employees from four of Memorial Health System’s seven affiliates – Memorial
Medical Center, Memorial Physician Services, Memorial Home Services and Memorial
Behavioral Health – participate in MASH.
