The Greater Peoria Economic Development Council (GPEDC) and its
Greater Peoria Manufacturing Network (GPMN) companies will host the
Manufacturing and Supply Chain Forum to highlight workforce
solutions and ways to generate new revenue through federal business
opportunities.
This forum takes place on Aug. 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the
Gateway Building, 200 Northeast Water Street, Peoria, IL 61602. A
resource fair will follow from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
This forum will also provide attendees with an opportunity to hear
from GPMN companies about their successful pivots to federal
business, learn how Illinois was selected for the Department of
Defense (DoD) Industry Resilience Program, learn about local
business and workforce resources and network with other regional
businesses.

“Considering the U.S. Government spends roughly $500B a year on federal
contracts, and they met their contracting goal by awarding over $191B of that to
small businesses in 2017, why are you not working with the world’s largest buyer
to strengthen your business?” said Brandon Hostetter, Program Manager of the
Illinois Defense Industry Network - Peoria Region, Greater Peoria EDC.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required at
