[August 30, 2019]
Students from the Lincoln College contemporary jazz program are
again teaming up with the Lincoln Park District to offer individual
music lessons.
Individual instruction in tenor saxophone, trombone, beginning
piano, guitar, drums, and electric bass will be offered to students
age 6 to 13 beginning September 10 and running through November 5.
Sessions last 30 minutes and are available between 4:30-7:30 p.m.
each Tuesday evening.
Student instructors from Lincoln College are under the supervision
of contemporary jazz lead faculty member, Denise La Grassa. The
students will customize lessons for everyone from first-time
beginners learning to read music to the more intermediate player
interested in beginning improvisation skills.

students will also be offering lessons on the music production software, Logic
Pro, to students age 12 to 18.

to build mini compositions recording, editing, and arranging music. These
sessions will also be 30 minutes and are available between 3:30-5:30 p.m. on
Fridays.
For advanced students, compositions developed in the fall eight-week session
will be featured as pre-show music at the Lincoln College fall-winter showcase.
