Lincoln led Mattoon 15-13 at the end of the
first quarter.
The second quarter saw the two teams trade buckets until the
Green Wave pulled away with a couple minutes left in the half.
Mattoon took a 28-22 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Lincoln had a good start to the third quarter and even pulled to
within a point, 32-31 the score around the three-minute mark.
But the Green Wave took off again and ended the quarter on an
8-0 run. Lincoln trailed at the end of the third quarter 40-31.
The Green Wave maintained a 10-point lead throughout the fourth
quarter before the final score was settled on 54-42.
Madelyn Koehler led Lincoln with 13 points. Cadence Presswood
tossed in 12 points.
Lincoln will play at Taylorville on Thursday night.
