WLB Seventh Grade girls continue march for State Championship

[December 10, 2019]    The West Lincoln Broadwell Lady Wolverines picked up two wins on Saturday at the 7th Grade Class 1A State Tournament in Assumption and punched their ticket to the state championship.

 

In the first round on Saturday afternoon the Lady Wolverines knocked out undefeated Cissna Park by a final score of 49-18. Piper Whiteman led WLB with 16 points. Lily Holmes tossed in 12 points.

In the semifinals WLB got by Ottawa Marquette by a final score of 30-23. Piper Whiteman and Jane Turner each led WLB with 7 points.

WLB (28-1) will play A-C Central (26-2) Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. for the state championship in Assumption.
