[December 10, 2019]  LINCOLN - Families and friends with children eager to see Santa stopped into the Lincoln Public Library on Tuesday evening. This week has been one of the early access opportunities for children to share what they want for Christmas. Of course early orders gives Santa's elves a little more time to work.

Santa took requests from boys and girls of all ages all of whom said they'd been good.

And he even met a few younger ones in diapers, who don't yet know they can ask for their hearts desire play things that he delivers on one night of the year.

Santa said he'd been receiving a lot of requests for gifts related to the movie 'Frozen' this year.

While waiting and after their Santa visit, children participated in holiday themed activities including games and ornament making. There was a steady cheery buzz in the library all evening.

Children's library staff were on hand facilitating craft projects and serving as Santa's assistants when needed.

Before heading back into the cold and catching the red-eye back to the North Pole for a late night supper with Mrs. Claus, Lincoln Public Library Director Richard Sumrall thanked Santa for stopping by and making the children happy.
