Mount Pulaski hosted Clinton on Tuesday night
and after finding themselves behind 16-8 at the end of the first
quarter, the Hilltoppers stormed out to a 10-0 run to start the
second quarter and take the 18-16 lead. Mount Pulaski outscored
Clinton 18-5 in the second quarter to lead 26-21 going into
halftime. The Hilltoppers managed to carry a double-digit lead
the rest of the way and cruised to a 54-40 win. Brandon
Kretzinger led Mount Pulaski with 13 points and Drew Martin
tossed in 12 points.
The Hilltoppers JV team won 40-29 over Clinton.
Mount Pulaski will host Edinburg on Friday night in the 2019
Homecoming game.
