LINCOLN
- Over the last four weeks, Edward Jones Financial Advisor Christine
Short encouraged her clients and community members to give back by
hosting a diaper drive for local children.
The collected diapers were donated to Community
Action Partnership of Central Illinois (CAPCIL) Head Start Centers
located in Lincoln.

This annual event has continued to collect more
items than the year before. This year was no exception collecting
more than 3600 units, a 48% increase since the first collection in
2017. “Christine and her staff are amazing to work with and we are
thankful for this partnership.”, said Agency Development Director,
Breann Titus.
Thank you to everyone that donated. Your generosity makes a large
impact. “The Early Head Start center-based programs use thousands of
diapers each year. Diapers are a large expense therefore donations
from local businesses and the communities we serve have allowed us
to use grant dollars on other classrooms needs such as educational
materials and developmentally appropriate toys, said Head Start
Director, Jenifer Deweese. For additional
information about Head Start or how you can get involved please
visit CAPCIL’s website (www.capcil.info)
