The
Lady Railers swept Taylorville Thursday night with the varsity
picking up a huge come-from-behind Apollo Conference road win
over the Lady Tornadoes.
Lincoln was tied with Taylorville at the half, 23-23.
The
Lady Railers fell behind 41-37 after three quarters of play.
A
huge run in the fourth quarter allowed Lincoln to surge ahead
and pull away with the 58-55 win.
In
that fourth quarter, Lincoln's Madelyn Koehler hit two key
three-pointers and a field goal to lead the Lady Railers.
Leah Schneider also scored two field goals and knocked down
three free throws in the fourth quarter.
Field goals down the stretch by Jasmine Davis and Cadence
Presswood also contributed to the 58-55 win.
Lincoln's JV won the earlier game 56-35 over Taylorville.
Jasmine Davis poured in 17 points for the JV.
Makayla Anderson scored 15 points.
Tori Schilling was impressive with 10 points.
