Mount Pulaski took on
the Tri-City Tornadoes Wednesday night in a makeup game and
the Hilltoppers escaped Buffalo with a 53-48 win in
overtime.
The Hilltoppers led
the Tornadoes 14-9 at the end of the first quarter.
Tri-City was on top at
the half 23-21.
The third quarter saw
Tri-City stretch that lead to 38-30. Mount Pulaski battled
back to only trail 46-44 with under a minute to play.
Drew Martin would tie
the game 46-46 on two free throws with 3.1 seconds left and
send the two teams into overtime. Martin's four points in
overtime led Mount Pulaski to the 53-48 win.
Mount Pulaski's JV
also won over Tri-City by a final score of 54-41.
Lane Murphy led Mount
Pulaski with 21 points.
Aiden Schneider tossed
in 10 points for the Hilltoppers.
