27th Annual Greenview CIA Chocolate Sunday

[February 12, 2019]    The Greenview Civic Improvement Association will present their 27th annual Chocolate Sunday contest and tasting on Sunday, Feb. 17th from 2-4:30PM at the Greenview Schools all purpose room.

Contest entries will be accepted (starting at noon on the 17th) in the following categories—Brownies, Cakes, Candy, Cookies, Fancy Desserts, Pies and Youth division (under age 16). Cash prizes will be awarded in each category as well as a grand champion for the people’s choice award. All entries must be received by 1pm as judging will take place promptly at 1:30PM. Please keep in mind that chocolate only needs to be an ingredient in each dish, not the main one.

Doors will open to the public at 2pm and will include free admission and unlimited tastings. The Greenview Dawg Pound PTO will be selling drinks and there will be free chocolate bingo and door prizes. The ever popular gift basket and dessert auction will start at 3:00PM and will include a variety of homemade, ready to eat meals, as well as a wide range of baked goods.
