Head Start and Early Head Start offer first class
early childhood programming for children birth to 5 years of age.
Each Head Start family receives ongoing guidance and support to help
create and maintain healthy parent/child relationships. Head Start
and Early Head Start are always free, and the Head Start program
offers free transportation to and from the classroom.
Early Head Start has two different options available: Home-Based and
Center Based Early Head Start. The Home-Based programming is geared
towards pregnant mothers and children through the age of 3.
Home-Based offers twice monthly play groups for parents to meet
other parents and opportunities for children to play and engage in
the classroom. Center Based programming is for children aged 6 weeks
to 3 years and is only available in select Counties.
