60-59 on Hilltoppers Senior Night

Mount Pulaski hosted Illini
Bluffs Friday night for Senior Night and it was the Tigers
just edging the Hilltoppers 60-59.
Mount Pulaski led the game
28-24 at halftime and even kept the four-point lead at the
end of three quarters of play, 45-41 the score.
A solid fourth quarter, led
by Cam Scott's 5-for-5 effort from the free throw line,
allowed Illini Bluffs to squeak by with the 60-59 victory
over the Hilltoppers.
Mount Pulaski's lone senior,
Jonathan Shehorn, led all scorers with 20 points.

In the JV contest it was
Tanner Pharis doing it again. Pharis hit a three to put the
Hilltoppers on top late in the game. Mount Pulaski held on
to take the win by a final score of 41-39.
Mount Pulaski
honored their seniors in between games. Skylar Hayes was
recognized at center court, along with Jeff Clements, for
being the all-time leading scorer in school history. Hayes
broke Clements' record and finished her career with 2,317
career points.

(basketball), Maggie Anderson (cheerleading) and Michael
Freer, Darren Jacob, Lyndsey Marshall, Zoë Mason, Emily
Siebert, Sam Van Rheeden and Lorenne Wilham (Pep Band) were
all recognized at center court along with their parents.
