The deal reportedly includes a mutual option
for 2020.
Moustakas, 30, was traded to Milwaukee in July in exchange for
right-hander Jorge Lopez and outfielder Brett Phillips, after
spending his first seven-plus years in the majors with the
Kansas City Royals. He batted .256 with eight homers and 33 RBIs
in 54 games with the Brewers, bringing his numbers for the
season to a .251 average, 28 homers and 95 RBIs in 152 games.
In eight career seasons, Moustakas has a .251 average with 147
homers and 474 RBIs in 988 games, earning All-Star selections in
2015 and 2017. He has played in at least 136 games in six of the
last seven seasons.
Moustakas was part of two Royals' teams that reached the World
Series, including the title-winning team of 2015, and he helped
the Brewers come within a game of the World Series last year.
