The Lincoln College Men’s Basketball team had
their winning streak halted at seven games by a 91-84 loss at
Silver Lake College on Saturday.
The Lynx led at halftime 51-40, but Silver Lake was able to slow
down Lincoln’s offense and improve their own shooting enough in
the second half to pull off the comeback win. SLC captured the
lead with 6:28 left to play and held on for a seven-point
victory.
The loss dropped Lincoln’s season record to 21-8 with one game
left to play.
Statistical leaders for Lincoln included Darnell Latham Jr. who
led the team in points scored with 24, Julian Powell grabbed 12
rebounds and Trayvon Tyler had seven assists.
Lincoln will play their final game of the season on Saturday,
February 23rd at Columbia College.
