[February 19, 2019]  ATLANTA - Betty June Kindred, 87, of Atlanta, passed away at 9:12 a.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at her home.

Visitation: Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Christian Church

Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at the church

Betty June Kindred, 87, of Atlanta, passed away at 9:12 a.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at her home.

Funeral services for Betty June will be on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Christian Church. Mr. Maurice Stribling will officiate.

Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Betty June McRoberts was born November 9, 1931, in rural Lincoln, the daughter of Charles R. and Ethlene McRoberts. She married William R. Kindred, May 4, 1950. He preceded Betty in death December 20, 1998.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Teaney; her son, Brian Kindred; three grandchildren: Whitney Lowman, Brandon (Megan) Lowman, and Mariah Teaney; five great-grandchildren: Azariah, Matthias, Ayden, Madilynn,and Zoey, plus one (Shay) due in June; one sister, Wilma (Richard) Fugate; and one brother, Dale (Bev) McRoberts.

Funeral Director

Betty June worked as the bookkeeper/office manager for Eminence Grain and Coal for 42 years. She retired in 2012 at the age of 80. She was a member of Atlanta Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to Atlanta Christian Church or Atlanta Rescue Squad.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
