[February 21, 2019]  LINCOLN - Raymond “Red” E. Turner, 78, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service:  11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Obituary

Raymond “Red” E. Turner, 78, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.

Raymond was born on May 26, 1940 in Lincoln, the son of Edward and Leona (Gandt) Turner. He married Carol Ann Otto on September 12, 1965 in Lincoln. She survives him in Lincoln.

Raymond is also survived by his children, Michael (Debbie) Turner, Jeffrey (Elaine) Turner, and Kimberly (Brad) Bryant; his sisters, Edna (Wayne) Mara, Donna (Randy) Buse; five grandchildren, Alexandra Turner, Chase Turner, Jake Turner, Kenzie Bryant, and Blake Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Rosemarie.

 

Raymond was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, in Lincoln. He was also a Charter Member of the Railsplitter Antique Auto Club, and an avid NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt.

Services for Raymond will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service (9:00 to 11:00 a.m.) also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Raymond’s name to the Parkinson’s Research Foundation.
