Beginning at 1:00 pm, this meeting is open to the
general public, including veterans, guardian escorts, volunteers and
supporters of LLHF. A complete recap of the 2018 flight season,
which consisted of six flights, will be included along with
operating costs and statistics of veterans served.
There will also be announcements of upcoming plans
and dates for the planned six (6) 2019 flights, upcoming events, and
salutes to LLHF’s partners and donors.
Land of Lincoln Honor Flight provides a free, one-day trip to
Washington DC for Veterans to visit their memorials and receive the
thanks they earned and truly deserve. This trip includes round trip
airfare from Springfield’s Abraham Lincoln Capitol Airport, all
meals and snacks, ground transportation in luxury touring buses and
a t-shirt and cap. Every Veteran travels with a Guardian escort - a
trained volunteer who pays their own way – who ensures the Veteran’s
comfort and safety and has the rare privilege of spending the day
honoring true American heroes – our Veterans.
Land of Lincoln Honor Flight is currently serving Veterans from
World War II, the Korean War era and the Vietnam War era.
Veteran applications continue to be accepted with
flight priority given in the following order:

honored with a flight or a spouse/ significant other of a Veteran on
a flight.
LLHF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that receives no
government funding or grants. It is only able to honor our Veterans
because of the generous donations, sponsorships, fundraising events,
merchandise sales and supporting efforts of the many local
corporations and businesses, individuals and organizations with our
service area. Please visit the web site to make a donation, hold a
fundraiser, book a member speaker or obtain more information on the
Honor Flight mission.
