Obituary
Bethel E. Banister, 94, of Lincoln
passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at
Generations at Lincoln in Lincoln.
Bethel was born on November 23, 1924 in Alton, the
daughter of Bert and Ethel (Garner) Newcome. She
married Charles W. Banister on January 21, 1966 in
Lincoln. He preceded her in death on July 18. 2002.
Bethel is survived by her sons, Charles A. (Linda)
Banister, David (Becky) Banister, and Roy “Willie”
(Jo Ann) Banister; her 15 grandchildren, 28
great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Bethel was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband; two sisters, Arlene and
Juanita; and her son, Vernon.

Bethel was a long-time member of Hope
Chapel in Lincoln.
A private family service will be held on a later
date.
Memorial donations may be made in Bethel’s name to
Hope Chapel in Lincoln or The Humane Society of
Logan County.
Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
