LINCOLN
- Keeping with the tradition of the past several years, community
members are being invited to audition for Lincoln College’s spring
musical production.
|
Auditions for “Something’s Afoot!” will be held
Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. in the mainstage theater at the Johnston
Center on the Lincoln College campus. Auditions are open to Lincoln
College students, faculty and staff, as well as all members of the
Lincoln community.
Auditions will consist of reading from sides and some
movement. Participants should also prepare 32 bars of a song and
bring sheet music for the pianist, if possible; if no preparation is
possible, participants can sing something like "Happy Birthday" –
however, a prepared song is preferred.

“Something’s Afoot!” is a murder mystery musical that spoofs
detective stories, particularly the works of Agatha Christie. The play involves
a group of people who are invited to the lake estate of Lord Dudley Rancour.
When the wealthy lord is found dead, it's a race against the clock to find out
whodunnit.
The production is planned for mid-February.
