Lincoln's Jermaine Hamlin was off to a great start Tuesday night at Roy S. Anderson versus Charleston. The 6'10 senior was making his own human highlight film as he scored the first eight points of the game for Lincoln on four consecutive dunks.

The first dunk rattled the rim just twelve seconds after tip-off. The second dunk was just over thirty seconds later putting Lincoln up 4-0. After a three from Cade Landrus opened the scoring for Charleston, Hamlin proceeded to get a hold of another one and slam it home.

The third dunk had Railer supporter John Guzzardo cheering excitedly, "Whew! There he goes again!" Hamlin really kept a smile on Guzzardo's face with yet another dunk at the 4:17 mark.

Lincoln was out to an 8-3 lead and the slim crowd on hand for the makeup game was getting a beautiful show above the rim put on by Hamlin and company. His company being any of the four supporting cast members around him who create a way to sneak him a pass thru the lane or toss him a lob through the air. Hamlin would score again in the quarter, not a dunk, but a basket "and one" that extended the lead to 13-7.

The Railers would close out the first quarter with a 13-9 lead over the Trojans."

It didn't take long for Hamlin to start dunking in the second quarter. His dunk at the 7:34 mark put Lincoln up 15-11.

Back-to-back field goals by Will Ewald extended the lead to 19-11.

Kameron Whiteman on the drive versus Charleston.

Kameron Whiteman ran off the next eight points for Lincoln and the Railers were still in the lead, 27-19 the score.

Hamlin would throw down his sixth dunk of the game with 1:55 showing on the clock and the Railers lead was stretched to 29-19.

Isaac Miller nailed a three before the half was up for Charleston and the two teams trotted off to the locker room with Lincoln in command 29-22.

Hamlin scored Lincoln's first points in the third quarter with a nice little kiss off the glass for two.

Kaden Froebe drives to the bucket for two points versus Charleston.

Froebe's layup and Singleton's bucket in the lane kept Lincoln on top 35-27.

Ewald then connected for a three and the Railers offense was clicking to the tune of a 38-27 lead.

Jermaine Hamlin threw down seven dunks versus Charleston. This is number seven right here in the third quarter.

Showtime again. Hamlin threw down dunk no. seven off a Froebe pass and Lincoln had extended the lead to 40-27.

Froebe would close out the third quarter with a three and the Railers really didn't have any worries in this one with the score 43-27 and eight minutes left to play.

The fourth quarter breezed by as quickly as the first three.

Whiteman and Hullinger made good on their threes to pump up the Lincoln offense even more. A 49-27 lead was the result.

After Singleton's back-to-back field goals, Lincoln was cruising 53-32.

Enter into the game senior Wyatt Collier for Lincoln and his quick drive to the basket made the score 55-33. Collier would score five points off the bench in the fourth quarter as Lincoln had little trouble getting the 62-39 win.

Jermaine Hamlin led all scorers with 20 points. After the game Hamlin said he had never had seven dunks in a game before. This is a first, and he explained it was talked about in the locker room and so the team made it happen. "I had the opening to do so, so I just kept doing it," Hamlin said of the dunks. "They (Charleston) didn't really stop me anytime."

Keep doing it, Jermaine. John Guzzardo in particular absolutely loves it!

The Railers improve to 14-2 on the season.

Lincoln's JV team also picked up a 45-22 win over Charleston. Landon Hullinger led the Railers with 12 points.

Weather permitting, Lincoln will host Morton Friday night with the JV tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m. and the Varsity tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
