The Lincoln College Women’s Basketball team
made quick work of the visitors from Crowley’s Ridge on Tuesday
evening. The Lady Lynx led wire-to-wire in this one for a 94-45
home win to improve their record to 8-11.
LC’s junior forward Erynn Young (Indianapolis, IN) lit up the
scoreboard for 31 points going 15-for-23 from the field. Three
other Lady Lynx who reached double-digits scoring included
Chicago native Nautica Preston (14), Emoni Smith (12) of
Indianapolis, Indiana, and Rockford’s Kaleia Monteiro (10).
Sophomore guard Whitney Gines (Cahokia) narrowly missed
recording a double-double as she grabbed a team-high ten
rebounds and scored nine points.
Lincoln will look to make it three wins in a row on January 17th
when they travel to Indiana to face St. Mary’s of the Woods
College. Game time is set for 6:00 PM.
