[January 25, 2019]
The Logan County Department of Public Health (LCDPH) is investigating
numerous individuals who are experiencing a rash after being in the pool
and/or hot tub at the Hampton Inn hotel in Lincoln, Illinois.
|
Anyone who was in the pool or hot tub at this hotel since January 13
and has since had a rash, please contact LCDPH at 217-735-2317. If
you were in the pool or hot tub and currently have a rash,
unexplained fever, or other illness, visit a health care provider,
especially if symptoms are severe.
Rashes associated with swimming may be caused by bacteria, such as
Pseudomonas, in the water of an improperly maintained pool,
chemicals used for pool maintenance, or a virus spread through the
water by an infected individual.

symptoms, after being in the pool or hot tub at this hotel should report these
illnesses to LCDPH.
