Rashes associated with swimming may be caused by bacteria, such as Pseudomonas,
in the water of an improperly maintained pool, chemicals used for pool
maintenance, or a virus spread through the water by an infected individual. More
information about such rashes can be found at
https://www.cdc.gov/healthywater/ hygiene/disease/hot_tub_rash.html.
The pool and hot tub are currently closed pending investigation and testing.
Health care providers with patients experiencing rash, or other unexplained
symptoms, after being in the pool or hot tub at this hotel should report these
illnesses to LCDPH.
