[January 30, 2019]  LINCOLN - Sharon Kay Purviance, 76, of Lincoln passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Copper Creek Cottages in Lincoln.

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service:  11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Obituary

Sharon Kay Purviance, 76, of Lincoln passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Copper Creek Cottages in Lincoln.

Sharon was born on June 22, 1942 in Mount Pulaski, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (Harnish) Stengel. She married Robert “Bob” Purviance on September 4, 1960 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2016.

Sharon is survived by her children; Greg Purviance of Terre Haute, IN, Kim (Kenneth) Nevius of Bull Shoals, AR, Chris Purviance of Lincoln, and Nicole Hoagland also of Lincoln; her half-brother, Tony Campbell of Grapevine, TX; and six grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

 

Sharon was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln. She was a secretary for the Department of Corrections for many years. Sharon enjoyed decorating and crafting; she was a member of American Business Women’s Association. She loved her pets and watching animals in nature. Above all else Sharon loved her family.

Services for Sharon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service (9:00-11:00a.m.) also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Old Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Memorial donations may be made in Sharon’s name to The Parkinson Research Foundation.
