If a Major League Baseball team won two of
every three games it played in a season, that would total 108
wins, one of the highest totals in MLB history.
Post 263’s senior team won’t play that many games this season,
but that’s the rate they’re winning so far in 2019.
The team notched another decisive win on Tuesday night, 11 to 1,
against Champaign at the Lincoln Rec Center. That pushed the
team’s record to 10 and 5 on the season.
Trailing 1 to 0 after the first two and a half innings, Post 263
exploded for three runs in the third before adding four in the
fifth to put the game away.
Cam Glick starred on the mound, allowing just one unearned on
three hits over six innings to pick up the win. He struck out 11
and walked just two.
At the plate, Colton Holliday led the way with 4-for-4
performance, along with three runs scored and two RBI. James
White doubled, tripled and had four RBI. Devyn Snow also had two
hits.
Post 263 will look to bring the fireworks on the field again on
July 4th when they take on Rantoul at Tilton Park at 2 p.m..
