A dominating first inning set the tone for Post
263’s senior team on the Fourth of July, in a game they would
never trail.
After striking out the side in the top of the first, Colton
Holliday knocked in one of three runs Post 263 scored in the
bottom half of the inning as Post 263 won yet again, 6 to 1,
over Rantoul.
Holliday pitched a complete game for Post 263 (11-5), striking
out 13 over seven innings at Tilton Park. He allowed just one
unearned run on four hits without allowing a walk. Along with
his RBI, Holliday also doubled.
Chad Saner, Jr. had two hits, including a home run, to go along
with three RBI and two runs scored. James White also had two
hits, Nate Arnold scored twice, and Brenden Eigenbrod walked
twice.
Post 263 will play two on Friday at Tilton Park. First up is
Crawfordsville at 10 a.m. followed by Danville at 4 p.m..
