to run for Circuit Clerk of Logan County, in 2020

It is with great pleasure that Kelly Miller-Elias announces her bid
to run in the 2020 election for Circuit Clerk of Logan County with
the confidence of the presiding Circuit Clerk, Mary Kelley. Kelly
Miller-Elias has worked for, and alongside, Circuit Clerk Mary
Kelley since she was hired in 2010. With hard work and dedication,
Kelly Miller-Elias quickly became Chief Deputy for the Circuit
Clerk.
As Chief Deputy, Miller-Elias has many great accomplishments.
Miller-Elias implemented the programming with the State of Illinois
Comptroller’s Debt Collection Division and a collection agency for
Logan County Circuit Clerk’s Office. She also is a contributing
member of the Criminal Electronic Filing Pilot Program. Since 2010
Miller-Elias has served as the courtroom clerk with all case types
and continues to work with the Judge on constructing a more
efficient courtroom process. She continues to work on moving the
Circuit Clerk’s Office to a paperless system.

Kelly is a life-long resident of Logan County where she was born to Richard
(Dick) and Sharon Miller. Kelly has been married to her husband, Joe Elias, for
27 years and they reside in rural Elkhart, Illinois. They raised three children;
Jared Parrott (30); Marlea Elias (25); and Holly Elias (24).
“After living in Logan County my entire life; I have a passion, commitment, and
deep roots to this community” Miller-Elias states. When asked why she wanted to
run for office Miller-Elias stated “I’m running for the Logan County Circuit
Clerk because I believe I am most qualified for the position and I have been
working for the Circuit Clerk for the past nine years. I am dedicated to my job,
the Circuit Clerk’s Office and the citizens of Logan County.”
