The Rope Warrior, aka David Fisher from Indianapolis,
is an accomplished athlete, who can make a rope whistle through the
air in a blur while he does some amazing tricks. This is the Rope
Warrior’s second visit to the LPLD to perform.
The Rope Warrior has appeared all over the world and on numerous
television programs. He is an author and arranges all of the music
for his routines. He also holds several world records for rope
jumping.
During his program at LPL, Fisher invited his audience members to
come up and jump with him. Amid giggles and outright laughter, he
actually taught them to do some of the complex tricks he has
developed over his more than twenty-five-year career. Even some
parents were heard to say “How did he do that?”

The Rope Warrior stressed safety at all times while jumping rope,
urging the kids to get their parent’s permission to jump, getting a good
teacher, using a soft rope, and wearing eye protection at all times.
This year’s program is “It’s Showtime at Your Library” and over
three-hundred fifty young readers are enjoying a summer with great books and
spectacular entertainment.
The summer program is still enrolling readers until July 26th when their reading
logs are due to be turned in.
Next week, the science guy will be amazing the audience with experiments before
their very eyes.
