- Lloyd Walter Leesman, 90, formerly of Hartsburg,
passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his home, Lincoln.

Obituary
Lloyd Walter Leesman, 90, formerly of
Hartsburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at
his home, Lincoln.
Lloyd was born on October 4, 1928, in Hartsburg, the
son of Claus and Kathryn (Glick) Leesman. He married
Phyllis Dirks on March 13, 1954 in Havana. She
preceded him in death on July 23, 2014.
Lloyd is survived by his son Steven P. (Lori)
Leesman of Hartsburg, daughter LuAnn (Mark) Bateman
of Heyworth, six grandchildren: Tim (Kristin)
Leesman, Kyle (Amy) Leesman, Megan (Jeff) Kennedy,
Erin (Dan) Zivilik, Matthew Bateman, and Michael
Bateman; and nine great grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and
two brothers.

Lloyd served his country in the
United States Army during the Korean War; he was
stationed in Germany. Lloyd was a member of the
Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Lloyd farmed all
his life in the Hartsburg area.
Private family services will be held at a later
date. Services are entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made in Lloyd’s name to
the Lutheran World Relief Agriculture Initiatives in
Central America.
